From one dog lover to another - I know the emotional bond we have with our beloved doggies. I lost my precious Portuguese Water dog in 2019. I have this painting I did of her and it sits next to my desk where I can see it every day.
Why I Paint Dogs
I've painted landscapes, city scenes, and people throughout my career. But it was my own dog, Lucy, who reminded me that a portrait can be much more than an accurate likeness. The best portraits capture something of a dog's spirit—the quiet companionship, the joy, and the love that made them unforgettable.
